Through this project we work with about 15 unemployed and semi-educated women and girls who live in the Kapenguria area and who do not have ownership or access to agricultural land that they can use to generate food and income.  We partner with these women to ensure that they increase their access income. We do this in the following ways:

  1. providing the women and girls with training on how to make sewed items such as: school uniforms, wallets, nametags, purses, totes, and placemats e.t.c
  2. Facilitating them to generate income by paying them a fair commission on each sewed product that they make for Jitokeze to sale.
  3. Making sewing items for local schools, business and international organizations who partner with us by providing a market for the sewed products
